@Lady Rose... my biggest concern is OMG, another widget on my site. I've come to feel a certain loathing for widget in my card-dropping adventures around the blogosphere. LOL But if it's a passive little thing like the Entrecard and Etsy ones, I could live with it.

@Peggy... my biggest problem with running auctions through comments is that it seems like a lot of work. And I'm inherently lazy. I'd have to get myself a secretary to deal with it. hee hee

@Entrepreneur... Excellent idea! How the heck do I check out their feed, though? For a geek, I'm woefully lacking in knowledge of certain areas of teh Internets (but I obviously know about LOLcats, which are a vital part).

"They say that with their RSS feed, potential bidders would be directed to my site from theirs. "

Before you buy, check out their feed and if people really do get redirected to the artists' site- it will definitely be worth whatever the cost then.

Would love to see how it works too and if it gives a more legitimate feel than just having people place bids via commenting.

I've seen artists hold auctions for their work on their blogs (mostly on MySpace blogs) by simply having people place bids by commenting.

That definitely sounds like a nice plugin, especially for a site like yours. If the price is reasonable, it may be a very good investment.
