Perhaps this is what Orpheus saw when he went searching for Euridice.  This might have been the scene that awaited Heracles when he went on his quest to the Underworld to fetch back Cerebus.  (By the way, I’ve got a painting a painting of Cerebus, too, around here somewhere.)

This is a little collage ACEO that brings back a taste of summer with its simplicty and colors.  Ooh, and a dragonfly!

What?  Is it for sale?  Of course it is!  It’s available on Etsy… but like summer, it’s not going to last long, as it’s set to expire in the next few days.  And once that happens, it probably won’t be back until spring.

A bit of trivia about this card… I originally created 10 of these, most of which were exchanged with other people in ATC exchanges; several sold at craft fairs; and the penultimate card in this series sold almost exactly a year ago on Etsy.

The weather has been cool (most people around here are enjoying it… I’m thinking I need a jacket that’s somewhere between my fleece lined windbreaker and my down coat) and delightfully sunny. The weather guessers predict more of the same for the next week. Yep. Time to buy another jacket.

Because, even for me, it’s not quite cold enough for the shin-length down coat rated to 40 degrees below zero.

The apples were colored with a gel pen, so they look all shiny and slickery when you have this adorable little ACEO in your hands.  And you can get your hands on this item right now if you zip over to Etsy.

I don’t have any trees on my property where I live now (lots of shrubbery, yes… but no actual trees).  If I was the sort of person to be sad about missing out on all the fallen leaves, I would have no need to be sad here!  My neighbors have plenty of trees to keep the entire neighborhood buried in fallen leaves all autumn!

Isn’t this little chick adorable?  I have a whole series of stamps with this little cutie… more than a dozen of them, I think.  Next to hedgehogs and the House Mouse collection, this is my favorite in the Cute category.

I’ll try to find something autumn-related all week.  And to give credit where credit is due, it’s all because of Reggy’s comment yesterday.

I might not care for the weather of autumn, the colors are fabulous!

You may wonder what the heck you can do with these things, other than admire their beauty.  Well, you could put it on a little easel and display it on a shelf, desk or table.  I have the first one I ever made on my desk at work.  People admire it whenever they come to bother me about some silly computer-related issue.  It’s my compensation for being bothered, you see.  Mr. Aerten has one in his office, on a shelf where it won’t get buried or broken on his messy desk.

Another thing you could do is actually attach it to your wall.  Seriously!  These are the very same ceramic tiles you can buy at any home improvement store… except these are beautiful.  Remember the friend for whom I made the Eyestalk?  Well, she put several of these up in her bathroom.  They look fantastic!  And when Mr. Aerten gets around to building our new house, I’ll be putting some up in our new kitchen.

Last, but not least, you could use one of those spiffy plate hangers to hang it on the wall like any other piece of Aerten Art!

This one cracks me up.  Of the several thousand rubber stamps I have, this is definitely one I’m planning to keep when I get around to the enormous project of selling some of them off.
