It’s just a matter of picking formulas and doing other mathy stuff (that I try to ignore) until something pops up that I like. And then I wait forever while it renders. It’s fairly simple and utterly mesmerizing. I can spend days playing with the fractal programs… and, as evidenced by the fact that I have hundreds of fractals posted, I often do!
