Grandma’s Hat

This one kind of looks like a hat.  Maybe one of those pill box hats that Jackie Kennedy wore.  In creating a hat, I am following in my grandmother’s footsteps!

Aside from being the most wonderful human being I knew as a child and the one person I could always count on, my grandmother was also a milliner…  she made hats.  She had quite the collection that she’d kept for herself, and any time my sister or I needed a hat, Grandma was right there!  She helped support her family during the Depression by selling her artistic head coverings.  I gave her name to #1 Daughter for her middle name.

LOL I guess it’s pretty obvious I don’t do much lying on my back waiting for surgery or baking, because I never would have thought of either option. Gosh, it’s fun to hear what other people see in this stuff!
