Sea Urchin

I did a series of paintings with this color palette and more white space than usual.  It’s especially difficult to keep white space in the encaustic paintings when the canvas is small like this.  I pick up the paper and dab it on the iron, which can get a little tricky.  Did you know that hot wax is… well, HOT?  Yes.  It is.
